And The Liebster Award Goes To…
November 6, 2013 in Learning by Anna
I hate to say how long ago it was, but a little while back another new blogger nominated Learn Like A Mom for the Liebster Award! That blogger was Kim from This Ole Mom. (Thanks Kim!)
Getting her message on Facebook about the nomination was the first I had ever heard of this award. So, I clicked on over to this post and read about her nomination and the rules that followed.
Then obviously…I didn’t do anything and it’s been on my to-do list for some time. While I was searching for other blogs to nominate, I also wanted to look up what the actual award is and the meaning behind it.
That search led me to Lorraine’s post about the Liebster Award and it’s Official Rules. This post is so incredibly informative! I won’t waste your time by even remotely touching the subject that she has researched in depth. So head over there if you want to read more about it! She also requested that I let you know about her other blog, Poetry Perfected!
I am choosing to accept this award and pay it forward by highlighting eleven blogs that have fewer than 200 followers on any given social network. (This was the case when I wrote this post and looked up their blogs on various social networks.) These were the rules set forth by Kim, a variation of the rules in Lorraine’s post.
If you choose to accept this award and would like to pay it forward, I ask that you follow these rules:
1. Thank the person that nominated you (That would be me!) and post a link to my blog on your blog! (That would be my homepage.)
2. When addressing the rules or questions, you can also link back to this post in your post! (Also feel free to copy and post this list of rules.)
3. Display the award in your post or on your sidebar.
4. Nominate 11 blogs that have fewer than 200 followers on any given social network. Contact them and let them know you have nominated them and send them a link to your Liebster Award Post!
5. Share 11 random facts about yourself.
6. Answer 11 questions from your nominator.
7. Create a list of 11 questions for your nominees to answer.
It is sort of like a chain letter, but with the links, acknowledgements, and support, you could generate more traffic and build your audience! By reading some of the Q&A’s, you could learn more about blogging! Why not give it a try?

Eleven Questions I Need To Answer For This Ole Mom
Thanks for the shout outs for both of my blogs! I’m a teacher, too! 🙂
I wrote an ebook, 20 Blog Post Must-Haves, that your nominees might want to use, too, to aid them with writing and publishing blog posts.
It is jam-packed with the necessary information about what makes a good blog post. Here’s to happy blogging!

Thanks for the head’s up on the book and the link you added here looks interesting too. I’ll have to check it out. I just notified everyone and was going to notify you, but you’re all over it! No problem! Credit where credit is due! It was a great article about the award. Thanks for stopping by and hope to “see” you often!
You know those little comments you get that aren’t comments at all? They are pingbacks; notifications that someone has linked to my blog. Newbie bloggers don’t know this, but will eventually figure it out.
I didn’t start out as a blogger; I became one through experience! I share my stories on my blog through my True Tales Tuesdays posts, and have various Featured Friday postings – and I accept guest posts, too, if you or any of your readers are interested!
I’m all about helping others! 🙂
That’s why I wrote 20 Blog Post Must-Haves; new bloggers need a helpful blogging and publishing checklist!
