The Switch Witch

What is The Switch Witch? Are you seeing it and baffled why parents are sharing a witch with their kids? Wondering what it has to do with Halloween candy? Well, let’s take a look! This post contains affiliate links.
What is The Switch Witch?
Well, it’s not the same as Elf on the Shelf.
Your Switch Witch is a guest in the house, that’s simply there for a visit leading up to Halloween. The witch can be played with, dressed up, and basically be a part of the family for a few weeks. There’s no spying or reporting on behavior. There’s no rule against touching.
The Switch Witch basically becomes a character in your home that the whole family can enjoy! She flies in with her cauldron and book and stays for awhile! There is flexibility in how she can be played with, dressed up, and how she interacts with the family. Just like each person in life, your Switch Witch may have personal preferences.
Then, on Halloween night, you can read the story book and have children give The Switch Witch all of their Halloween candy.
Why would they do this, you ask?
Because The Switch Witch will magically switch all of that candy into a surprise gift!
Gone is the sugar and home is more fun!
It’s as simple as it sounds. You just need to remind the Switch Witch of her final duties that night and off she’ll fly with the candy, until she returns on the next Halloween!
