Duct Tape Jewelry

Duct tape jewelry is cheap, durable, and a fun accessory! When I was busy making the duct tape pirate sword and eye patch and the duct tape superhero cape and cuffs, I thought I should do something else that’s fun too. So, here it is!

How to Make Duct Tape Jewelry
Materials
Toilet Paper Rolls
Scissors
Clear or Masking Tape
Here’s how I made the duct tape ring.
I decided how wide I wanted the band to be and then cut that off the top of one of the toilet paper rolls. I also cut along the long side of the toilet paper roll. Then, I took the small strip and placed it around my finger to size it. Once sized, I secured it with clear tape.
Then, I covered the ring with duct tape. What girl would refuse a gold ring?
Finally, I used a hot glue gun to adhere a craft bead, adding a bit of bling.
Now, let’s make some duct tape bracelets!
For the thick bracelets, I started by measuring the width of the duct tape (which was 2 inches wide) and then from the ends of the toilet paper roll, I measured just shy of that. I made my marks at those points (which were 1 3/4 inches from the ends).
I cut along my measured points and tossed the tiny portion from the middle. Then I cut the larger rings, so they would be able to wrap around my wrists.
Since I measured at the beginning, I could wrap a smooth exterior on the bracelet. I unraveled part of the duct tape and then layed the bracelet right over it. I adhered the tape to the roll from end to end. Then I rolled the tiny sides around the edges.
Then, I duct taped the insides of the bracelets, but I guess you could skip that step if you wanted to.
I also made some thinner bracelets. I cut one toilet paper roll into four pieces.
Then, I wrapped them with duct tape. Here you can see an option for October and an option for February. I’m sure you could find something for every month of the year.
Have fun creating your own duct tape jewelry!
