Materials For Spooky Spider

Two Foam balls (Depending on how large you want your spider to be, you can use different sizes of foam balls. You will want to have two of a different size.)

Four toothpicks

Four black pipe cleaners (If you are making a larger spider, you may need eight.)

Eight Googly Eyes

Glue

Black Spray Paint

Steps to Create the Spooky Spider

Step One: Push three toothpicks into the larger foam ball in a cluster.

Step Two: Place the smaller foam ball on the other end of the cluster of toothpicks and push it in to connect the two foam balls.

Step Three: Use the last remaining toothpick as a handle by piercing the larger foam ball. Then, grab your black spray paint.

Step Four: Hold the spider by the toothpick handle and spray it evenly all the way around. Then find a place to prop it so it can dry according to the directions on the can. (You’ll see I propped mine in the lock of our fence.)

Step Five: After the spider has dried, grab your four pipe cleaners and cut them in half so you have eight legs. Start with one leg and pierce the foam ball with it. Then bend it however you’d like the spider legs to look. Continue to do this with all eight legs until your spider is standing.
